To achieve this, we created highly sophisticated and detailed artist discovery reports that synthesize key engagement metrics from multiple platforms with human analysis from subject matter experts and platform researchers. These music reports identify both emerging artists in general and specific types of emerging artists (e.g., artists trending using short-form video), and include overall fan engagement metrics across multiple platforms alongside editorialized context.
Over the course of several reports, our music research identified over 500 emerging artists within all popular genres for a North American audience. The average artist saw their cross-platform rank grow by 25%.
