Emerging Genre & Scene Identification
THE PROJECT
SoundCloud was looking for geographic scenes featuring artists that had used the platform to help build their careers. They wanted to feature these artists and scenes in documentary shorts that demonstrate the vitality of the platform, as well as in playlists and other content marketing offerings.
THE SOLUTION
Third Bridge enlisted our world-class curators to comb the site and look for the most relevant and exciting emerging artist scenes. Curators would report on scenes on a weekly basis, identifying artists and networks from across genres and around the world.
THE RESULTS
Using intelligence gathered by Third Bridge curators, SoundCloud developed documentaries on scenes including the Atlanta-based plugg, SoCal Soul, and the East African Underground.
