Get in TouchA major, global DSP wanted to provide a richer, more immersive experience for their listeners and to drive discovery on the platform. They were looking for a partner to help them develop a product feature that involved creating connective metadata between artists on the service, and crafting accompanying copy that provided engaging and informative context.
TBC gathered a crack team of genre experts and journalists to get to work developing a metadata management tool to document the web of connectivity. Our contributors functioned as researchers, curators, and writers. They would need to identify key relationships between artists (e.g. "influence", "follower," etc.), determine which connections to include, and create pithy blurbs to go with.
We successfully executed on the client’s high-priority artist list, extracting hundreds of points of useful metadata complete with contextual blurbs written from a fan-first perspective, fully edited and complete with research citations.
